The Carneros Inn

The Carneros Inn is a 27-acre mixed-use resort located in Napa, California. Formerly three separate and deteriorating properties comprised of a blighted mobile home park and a RV/boat storage yard, the principals of Rogal + Walsh + Mol recognized its hidden potential as a true diamond in the rough, and transformed the property. The resort is presently comprised of 96 cottage hotel units, 17 fractional cottages, 24 for-sale resort homes, two public restaurants, a spa, a market, and various guest and civic amenities.  Advanced and environmentally responsible building and infrastructure design techniques were used  throughout this highly acclaimed resort property. The innovative Carneros Inn project was recently recognized for excellence in planning with a Charter Award from the Congress for New Urbanism, and a prestigious American Institute of Architects National Honor Award in Urban and Regional Design. In addition, after only four years of operation, The Carneros Inn had already climbed in Conde Nast Traveler’s readers’ poll rankings to Number 11, on the list of Best Resorts in the mainland U.S.
